The Dukes of Hazzard - Hazzard in Hollywood, a new television movie reuniting stars John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach and other cast members from the action packed hit CBS comedy series "The Dukes of Hazzard," was broadcasted Friday, May 19 2000 at 8 p.m. on the CBS Television Network.
This rollicking story chronicles the wild high jinks the Dukes and friends encounter as they roll into Tinseltown in an attempt to raise fast cash to build a much needed hospital in their home town of Hazzard.
Schneider and Wopat re-create their roles as Bo and Luke Duke, the fun loving, hot rodding good ol' boys. Bach returns as their cousin Daisy Duke, who jumps in to get the good ol' boys out of a good ol' mess. James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane), Sonny Shroyer (Enos Strate), Ben Jones (Cooter) and Rick Hurst (Cletus) also reprise their series roles in the film.

And, world-renowned General Lee, the souped up 1969 Dodge Charger, reprises its attention grabbing role with stunts and car chases.
As the action begins, the folks of Hazzard County have for several years sponsored an annual fund raising hoedown to raise funds for a Hazzard hospital. At this year's hoedown, the Hazzard citizens are propositioned by a crooked businessman, Ezra Bushmaster (Nicolas Coster), who challenges them to raise $500,000 in ten days and he will contribute the remaining $3 million they need for the hospital if they succeed, provided they name the hospital after him.

Raising the money quickly seems to be an impossible task until shady music promoter B.B. Bascomb, (Jay Acovone) steps in and reminds the stunned denizens about the country music tapes they own featuring now famous singers from past Hazzard hoe-downs. With spirits high on dreams of selling a profitable music CD, the Dukes; Cooter, Cletus and Rosco roar off to Hollywood to raise some cash - fast.
The Hazzard clan does not exactly get a warm welcome in the land of sunshine. The bad guys are instantly hot on their trail, and their tapes and money are immediately stolen. However, in their adventure filled quest to get their belongings back and raise money for the hospital, they make unusual friends in unlikely places.
Latina acting and singing sensation Patricia Manterola joins the cast as Gabby, Bo's love interest. When Bo, now an aspiring race car driver, and Gabby meet, it is love at first sight. Her barrio friends and family ally themselves with the Dukes against the music pirate thugs who stole the tapes.

The Dukes of Hazzard - Hazzard in Hollywood was directed by Bradford May from a script by Gy Waldron, who created the original series, and Bob Clark. Waldron and Clark are the executive producers and Skip Ward in the producer, for Warner Bros. Television.
